I got poison ivy over the weekend. I used to never get a breakout from it, this is only the second time I have had it. So I have done a little bit of research and boy I am lucky just to get it twice. It is every where. Some advice, if you feel like cutting wood, remove the vine from the trunk first. Assume it is poison ivy. I guess everyone has to learn the hard way.
Check out the pictures and stories on Poison-Ivy.org. It could always be worse.

Does your CD from Sony say “Contents Enhanced and Protected”. The wording should be more in the line of “In order to listen to our music CD on your computer you must give us full control of your computer.” You would think Sony would tell you they are going to do this, but they don’t. Thank you Sony for keeping my services needed and wanted. Here are some links about Sony’s implementation of Digital Rights Management on audio CDs and the issues with their implementation:
–Sysinternals Blog
–Sucurity Now, Episode 12 audio file, 12MB
–Security Now, Episode 12 text file
I understand that the entertainment companies need to protect their content. But they should be responsible about it and do not limit my rights in doing so.
Another reason to use Linux, but you have to wonder when it will happen on all platforms.
