To catch you up, yesterday I had to back to the hospital due a powerful pain on my side. Turns out that I had a kidney stone. But I did get some morphine, boy that will put you out. Made that pain tolerable and allowed the stone to pass without me going crazy. Due to all the other issues that I have had lately the doctors ordered a CT scan (skipped the X-ray and straight to the big guns) and blood work. Turns out that I was not bleeding. But the blood work showed that my blood is thin, way to thin. Enough to consider putting my in the hospital since a fall or cut could be big ordeal. The doctors decided to let me go home but told me to stay home and not do anything. So after the first day, I am bored. Not that I would do anything otherwise, but it is the fact that I can’t do anything is getting to me.
So I have been working from home all day, listening to the Ray Charles CD that I just got, and not much else.

Here it is 6:00 PM on Sunday evening and I am still in my pajamas. Oh well, I am still not 100% percent. But I did manage to redesign my website, new theme and different gallery for the pictures. Last week I tried to upgrade the old gallery and I corrupted it, I was not feeling as good I thought because after about 2 mintues of troubleshooting, I said forget about it. So I got everything working again, hopefully I will get out and take the camera so I can put up some content. Where is Barb, Karen, and Paula when you need them?
I also watched the Cards-Cubs game. Cardinals finally won a series in Chicago this year.

Most have heard but in case you have not, last week I suffered from a pulmonary embolism. Long story short; I could not catch my breath, went to hospital (should have went sooner), a three day stay at the hospital, blood thinners, shots, pills, oxygen tanks, and a week off work I am starting to feel better. I am only using oxygen at night and have two more shots left to give myself at this time. I will be on the blood thinners for 6-12 months. Could have been worse, thankfully I went in when I did.
The doctors found a blood clot, DVT in my right knee. Come to find out that I did not move around enought during the marathon upgrade, too much setting in one spot.
Things I have learned in the past week:
get up and move around every 45-60 minutes
hospital food is as bad as they say
you can not pick up the ladies in a hospital gown and electrodes hooked up to your chest
nurses do not want to give you a sponge bath, I don’t care what the movies show
if you cannot breath, get it checked out. Now…go…right now!
The doctors did order a EKG and echocardiogram. Everything checked out OK. The blood work came back normal also, but I have a few more questions about that.

Leo is at it again – “Pirillo and LaPorte hope to attract a sponsor and begin producing original content, but for now will let the site evolve from the ground up. Contributors will keep 100 percent control of the content they provide to the site, Pirillo wrote.”

Tonight I was sitting at the house drinking a few brews with a good buddy and we looked at each other and wonder what is that noise. We go outside and see a helicopter hanging out over head. It is too late for a traffic report, so we figure it is the cops after someone. Can’t they do this quieter, don’t they know that people have to work in the morning? But I was up so I was all ‘bust that mofo!’ They hung around for about 15 minutes and off they went. Someone is having a bad night.
I will have to check the papers tomorrow morning to see if they something about it.
