Time wasted
I am usually pretty good at wasting time, but ever since I got the expanded cable package with the DVR I have wasted even more time. I knew there was a reason that I had the basic cable (about 10 channels) for the past 5 years. Now I have more than 120 channels and a DVR to record what I can’t watch at one sitting. Earlier this evening I realized that I have sit in front of the TV most evenings for the past two to three weeks. No wonder nothing is getting done around the house.
They need to make the cable box and channel guide configurable. Only show channels that you want to see when trying to figure out what is on. I would never miss most of this stuff. But when I see that show on the National Geographic about insects in the Amazon forest (substitute any show half way intriguing), I think that might be worth watching. I spend the next 25 minutes watching the show and realize that I just wasted some more time.

AHA! Now we know why you haven’t updated your blog since MAY. You’ve been watching TV and boozing it up with the mayor.
BTW…the whole thing with going to the lake with the mayor sounds like a great post on its own. Inquiring minds want to know!
